Description :: 1) Cut, roll, shape, bend, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or subassemblies;
2) Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines;
3) Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions;
4) Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arch welding equipment;
5) Removes rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinder, hand file, or scrapper;
6) Observes tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications;
7) Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments;
8) Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc;
9) Develops templates and other works aids to hold and align parts;
10) Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques;
11) Any tasks assigned by management.
Requirements :: 1) Minimum 3G certificate on welding
2) At least 1 year of working experience in manufacturing industries.
3) Able to speak and understand English or Malay.
4) Ability in performing duties under moderate noise.
5) Must have the ability to read and use tape measure accurately.
6) Must have or acquire basic knowledge of steel and steel descriptions.
7) Must have the ability to work productively while unsupervised.
8) Must be punctual and attend work regularly.
9) Must have cutting torch skills and basic math skills.
