Description :: • Assist SHE Manager to manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources.
• Leading a team of SHE staff(s) in best practices for the Company in respective areas.
• Represent the Company on SHE matters with clients, customers and respective local authorities.
• Oversee the implementation of Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) practices to ensure alignment to NSL HQ and EPM SHE polices and standards.
• Manage regular occupational safety, health and environment inspections; and implement appropriate corrective actions to ensure potential safety issues and environmental incidences are eliminated.
• To carry out accident investigation and prepare written report(s) with recommendations and action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and closure or eventual correction and prevention of incidents and accidents.
• Ensure that company operations comply with all applicable statutory codes, legislation and other legal requirements including interpretation of regulatory requirements.
• Lead initiatives to ensure workplace conditions which affect safety & health of employees are corrected or mitigated with control procedures.
• Ensure regular and continuous education of employees on relevant safety, health & environmental (SHE) policies, procedures, and activities to ensure consistent implementation.
• Participating in hazard identification evaluations, effectively communicating and enforcing hazard control requirements.
• Managing the timely reporting of all injuries, near misses, property and/or environmental damage incidents.
• Providing management with analyzed trends and statistics on all SHE matters.
• To formulate and maintain Project Safety Plan as required.
• To assist respective team to formulate HIRARC and manage it accordingly.
• To coordinate well with respective team on ensuring SHE requirements documented and complied as required.
• To advise on safe lifting methods.
Requirements :: • Possess a Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Science / Engineering (Environmental/ Safety/Health) or Certificate from NIOSH or related approved institution.
• Valid Green Book and registered with DOSH (JKKP).
• Minimum 5 years of work experience as ESH or Safety Manager in Manufacturing / Construction industry.
• Trained in safety Risk Management methodology.
• Good understanding of safety hazard analysis.
• Good knowledge of local environmental, safety and health regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Proven leadership & organizational skills.
• Experienced in preparing Project Safety Plan & assessing HIRARC as required.
• Experienced in heavy lifting requirements.
• Familiarity of Industry Standards (DOSH, DOE, CIDB) and relevant industry HSE regulations and requirements.
