Description :: • Provide leadership to finance and accounting areas of the organisation
• Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about business strategy and execution
• Maintain system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and assets
• Prepare and analyse accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast, cash flow and tax returns
• Engage in ongoing cost reduction analysis of all areas of the business
• Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement
• Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
• Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
• Develop product pricing for existing and new products. Participate in target costing activities to create products that meet predetermined price goals
• Other duties as required
Requirements :: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing in a leadership role
• 10+ years’ experience in finance
• Ability to lead, train and mentor employees
• Solid experience in coordinating audits
• Strategic thinker who possesses solid business acumen and is able to organize multiple priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with others
• Proven ability to make complex and time sensitive decisions in the best interest of the company
• Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment
