- Management and leadership of Technical and Quality team on site
- Management, maintenance and administration of the site HACCP system
- Management, maintenance and administration of the site Food Security system (TACCP & VACCP systems)
- Initiation of investigations and response to customer in relation to all customer complaints in conjunction with the Technical and Production teams
- Maintenance of the Quality Manual and all procedures therein to ensure that the Quality Management System complies with customer and BRC requirements
- Ensuring all procedures in the Quality Manual are adhered to especially with respect to Critical Control Points
- Overseeing document control of all factory documents including forms, recipes, specifications and labels
- Carrying out Internal Audits of the site and ensuring non-conformances are taken up with the appropriate persons responsible and pursued to an agreed solution
- Ensuring microbiological testing and swabbing regimes are adhered to and food safety issues are addressed
-Supplier approval and monitoring in terms of food safety, quality, legality and ethical trade
- Ensure good manufacturing practices, food safety, quality and health and safety are maintained at all times
- Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management and with production operators, technicians, and engineers
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
-Achieves financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Other duties as required 
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Food Science or Microbiology
-10+ years’ experience in manufacturing in a leadership role
- 5+ years’ experience in quality assurance or food technology
- Understanding of GMP / HACCP / BRC / ISO
- Ability to lead, train and mentor employees
- Ability to manage all aspects of quality assurance, from product development to the shipment of finished goods
- Knowledge and understanding of the food safety and quality requirements of the business and our customers
- Strong communication skills and desire to build lasting relationships with people all over the world
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
- Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment
