Yokohama Industries Berhad (formerly known as Tai Kwong - Yokohama Berhad) ventured into battery reclamation in 1997, and is fully approved and licensed by the Malaysian Department of Environment to run our recycling operation. Besides being licensed by the Department of Environment, we are also certified with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.

Our reclamation plant is located at Pengkalan Industrial Estate in Ipoh, Perak. It houses highly advanced machineries which utilizes the latest technology in lead reclamation.

Whilst reclaiming used and scrapped batteries, we also ensure that all toxic elements in the batteries are treated and neutralized before being discarded.

Other than the reclaiming of lead, polypropylenes from the casings of scrapped batteries are also reclaimed.

The effort of reclaiming discarded batteries is not only cost effective but also ensures keeping the environment safe and clean for future generations.
