Description :: 1. Purchase or contract for supplies, services and equipment required by any using agency, within the limits of the current budget approved by the city council, and in accordance with purchasing procedures prescribed in this chapter, such administrative regulations as the purchasing officer shall adopt for the internal management and operation of the purchasing function, and such other rules and regulations as shall be prescribed by the city council or the city manager;
2. Negotiate and recommend execution of contracts for the purchase of supplies, services and equipment;
3. Act to procure for the city the needed quality in supplies, services and equipment at least expense to the city;
4. Discourage uniform bidding and endeavor to obtain as full and open competition as possible on all purchases
Requirements :: 1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field.
2. At least 3 years of working experience in sourcing and purchasing equipment.
3. Must be aggressive, disciplined and attentive.
4. Should possess the willingness to learn, even technical matters.
5. Must be able to converse well in English and Mandarin, both verbal and written
6. An analytical and assertive negotiator
7. Knowledge in, ISO 9000, TS 16949 EMS 14001 Quality Management systems implement and maintain the standards.

9. Applicants must be willing to work in Senai.
10. Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
