Description
LCS OPTIROC PTE LTD was established in March 2004 with a paid-up capital of $1.0 million for the purpose of operating a Cementitious Dry-Mortar business in Singapore and the region. The Company acquired HL Cement Cementitious Dry-Mortar plant in December 2004
The HL Cementitious Dry Mortar plant was built and completed in 1999 and has a production capacity of 13,000 mt per month. The plant was designed and built by Austrian Engineering firm Doubrava Ges.m.b.H & Co., one of the world’s largest Dry-Mortar plant manufacturers in Europe. The engagement of this state of the art manufacturing technology facility underscores the focus of LCS OPTIROC on quality and reliability.LCS OPTIROC is managed by Mr Chong Choong Fee, its Managing Director. Mr Chong brings along with him a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise in the Cement and Dry-Mortar business. He had previously held the position of General Manager at Lafarge Cement Singapore from 2000 to 2004. Mr Chong also held the position of President of SEADMA (South-East Asia Dry-Mortar Association) from 2008 – 2010.
Mr Chong was instrumental in setting up the Dry-Mortar business in the then Pan Malaysia Cement Works (PMCWS) in 1991. PMCWS was acquired by Blue Circle in 1997 and subsequently by Lafarge Cement in 1999.Mr Chong was one of the pioneers who worked closely with Singapore’s Housing & Development Board (HDB) in the formulation and establishment of Dry-Mortar specifications for Singapore’s public housing sector in the early 1990s. The Company’s dry-mortar products are also listed on the HDB approved listing in the last 7 years and it attained its ISO 9002 status in 2005.In the last 7 years, LCS OPTIROC Pte Ltd has supplied its wide range of dry-mortar products to most of the new HDB building contracts, DBSS projects, Build-to-Order and HIP contracts. The Company also supplied its dry-mortar products to private sector condominiums, hotels and commercial industrial projects.LCS OPTIROC has a core team of Dry-Mortar professionals with a combined market experience and expertise of 30 years. The Company manufactures a wide range of high quality and high performance Dry-Mortar products for the building and construction industry.
LCS OPTIROC operates two Dry-Mortar plants in the region; one is located in Singapore and the other in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Both Dry-Mortar plants have a combined monthly production capacity of 30,000 mt of Dry-Mortar products.
