- 1. Project Development
- Provide the necessary inputs on Mechanical and Piping and identify the relevant engineering standards for design and construction /installation activities.
- Work closely with other discipline engineers to carry out the cost estimation and scheduling for management approvals.
2. Engineering
- Carry out the detailed engineering activities such as equipment design & datasheets, pipe classification and routing, MTO, vendor assessment and detailed cost estimate and project scheduling.
- Work closely with site maintenance team and also the appointed engineering contractor and consultant to complete detailed engineering functions including approval of construction drawing before fabrication.
3. Construction & Fabrications
- Evaluate contractors and vendors and support procurement activities as necessary.
- Develop a detailed execution schedule and supervise contractor activities on site
- Carry out relevant on site and off site inspection for installation and equipment fabrication including regulatory inspection eg. DOSH / DOE.
4. Pre-commissioning & Commissioning
- Plan, prepare and execute the pre-commissioning activities such as test pack preparation, testing (hydro test and other NDTs), walk downs (pre start up safety review, QC), punch listing and resolution, working closely with vendors and contractors within agreed timeline.
- Support the commissioning activities to quickly resolve issues and modifications requirement to bring process and equipment to optimum operational conditions.
5. Documentation and handover
- Ensure all relevant documentation eg as built drawings and vendor manuals is available for handover to operations and maintenance teams. - Requirements :
- IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a must
• Minimum 3 years working experience in maintenance and project execution preferably in a petrochemical or chemical manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of project management principles
• Able to work independently and adapt into a high demanding environment
• Mature and resourceful individual
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Familiar with Engineering Standards and Management of Change (MOC) - Lowest Qualification :
