Description :: Primary Function:
• Ensure the Tooling build and qualification (Metal Stamping & Mould),
process compliance. Monitor, review and discuss Tooling Division Quality
performance, with the relevant parties for continuous improvement and
adherence to customer specific requirements.
• Management representative for QEMS, responsible to ensure third party
accreditations are obtained and sustained (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO
13485 & ISO 14001) within Trend Malaysia facility.
• Responsible to promote continual improvement mindset within Trend
Malaysia facility, Quality and Environmental consciousness, to meet or
exceed the customer’s expectation through effective Quality and
Environmental management system.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensure the Tool Build and Qualification process, adherence to Quality
standard, procedures and customer specific requirements.
• Lead and coordinate with TD and cross functional team, to resolve the
non-conformity of Internal and External Tooling issues. Ensure appropriate
root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action standardization
(including lessons learned).
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices, processes
and procedures, to aid and improve the TD operational performance.
• Ensure that processes needed for the quality and environmental
management system are established, implemented and maintained.
• Ensure the internal and external communication, in the maintenance and
sustenance of QEMS and ensure confidentiality, where applicable.
• Ensure all company policies, manuals, procedures, and work instructions
are documented in a clear, simple and concise manner.
• Identify and ensure compliance to relevant legislative requirements.
• Control and maintain the company audit and assessment schedule.
• Spearhead quality and environmental system planning, periodic internal
audits and management review.
• Prepare and submit management reports relating to company systems,
compliance and incidents.
• Train relevant company personnel in the documented company policies
and system.
Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements within the
organization.
• Promote continual improvement mindset and lead process quality
improvement activities and closely work with cross functional teams.
• Ensure the related personnel have received appropriate training and
assessed for competency to perform the respective task.
• Ensure quality assurance – reports, records and documentation are up to
date, on time, accurate and relevant.
• Perform any other duties, as assigned by the superiors.
Requirements :: Academic Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quality
Management or equivalent.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality & Environmental
system management in a high-volume manufacturing environment, in Sheet
Metal Stamping and/or Plastic Injection, preferably with Tooling (Metal Stamping
& Mould) manufacturing knowledge.

Others: Knowledge of ISO9001/IATF16949/ISO14001/ISO13485 is a must.
Knowledge in Automotive VDA standard, Core tools (APQP/Control Plan, FMEA,
PPAP, MSA & SPC) and Problem solving.
Positive attitude, leadership skills, good communication skill, able to work with
others independently, deadline driven. Passion in training & development.
Conversant in English & MS Office
