- 1. Reporting to the Development Engineering Head
2. Plays a key role within our Development Engineering Department, which interfaces directly with our customers to deliver quality processes & components
3. Overall coordination of new product introduction, from initial design, first article/pilot, and buy-off from Production Team
4. Assists the department manager in managing initial inquiries & requests
5. Interpret customer requirements through other MDI teams
6. Review & evaluate inquiries & relevant drawings for new parts, ensuring that all statutory and customer requirements are satisfied
7. Coordinate with internal departments and customer for any changes & delivery
9. Prepare and document testing and FA reporting prior to customer submission
10.Work closely with other production sections, including Toolroom & QA/QC, to establish processes for Parts, Process Control Plan, & the development of First Article
8. Verify the mould & jig are manufactured to requirements
- Requirements :
- 1. Minimum of Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2. Working knowledge of CAD is a must
3. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, however candidate with 1 year working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in die-casting will be given priority
4. Project management experience will be an advantage
5. Candidates with new product introduction (NPI) experience will be an advantage
6. Strong communication & teamwork skills

Description
Since 1980, MDI has been involved in supplying customers with finished metal products. In that time we grown to offer quality precision-machined die-casting products to clients in a range of industries and geographies. We're currently located on 2 factories over a 7 acre lot with a total factory space of approximately 200,000 sq ft (20,000sq mt) in Shah Alam, near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, employing a workforce of 320 covering business development, & administration, engineering, research & development, quality assurance, manufacturing, and logistics.
Our team of senior engineers and management have a combined experience in the casting industry of over 100 years. We are constantly looking forward to improve ourselves through R&D and technology exchanges with US, Switzerland, Japan and Australia. Looking forward, we leverage our engineering experience with the latest technology to provide our customers with a complete die-casting solution from design reviews (considering customer requirements, cost implications, and manufacturability) to delivery of quality , cost-efficient products.
