Description :: To head, lead and manage the SMT unit.
To lead in the procurement of new SMT lines and upgrading of peripheral equipment to keep abreast with SMT process technology.
To conduct continuous improvement (Lean Concept) in all PCB assembly processes relating to quality, productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
To manage and supervise maintenance of SMT machines and ancillary equipment, keeping them at optimum level.
To lead and establish guidelines for DFM, PFD, PFMEA, Wl, line layout, line balance of each manufacturing line to achieve the best productivity results possible.
To lead and coordinate the design and implementation of manufacturing process for building prototypes, pre-production, NPI, transfers, etc.
To initiate, recommend and provide solutions for manufacturing process problems or design related issues in long running and newly launched products.
To evaluate, control and implement quality measures to address quality concerns pertaining to SMT processes.
To ensure 5S and good manufacturing practices are implemented in SMT production.
Requirements :: Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Production Engineering.
Minimum 7 years' of working experience in setting up, managing and running SMT lines.
Good supervisory skills, independent and able to lead the SMT manufacturing team.
Possess programming/line balancing skills for pick and place machines.
Keen interest/ability for in-depth technical problem solving.
Good SMT machines installation and line re-configuration expertise.
Knowledge of IPC, SPC and relevant Quality Standards.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing is an added advantage.
