Quintiq is seeking an IT professional to fill the role of Software Tester. You will be working as part of a highly skilled team of testers, analysts, and developers to ensure that the software produced is of the highest standard. You are responsible for ensuring that Quintiq software aligns with business goals and customer needs. You must be able to work independently, and you can expect to be challenged on a daily basis. In addition to this you will provide basic training and advice to internal users on new software features and basic troubleshooting skills. You are expected to become an expert user of the Quintiq Application Suite.

If you are a capable software tester who enjoys breaking things and wants to be involved in testing a client-server platform, the programming language, runtimes and user interfaces or even optimization, this is an opportunity for you. We also welcome software developers who have a passion for testing since this role requires a strong technical background along with the requisite testing skills. You must understand the intricacies of testing, and be expected to influence the product architecture to ensure we build testable systems.

Requirements :
Responsibilities
• Drive the quality of the product, all the way from requirement specification through to release.
• Work closely with the R&D developers in the design and implementation of software features.
• Get involved in all test levels of maintenance release or major release with new features.
• Analyze and document software requirements.
• Proactively participate in risk analysis together with R&D.
• Design relevant user scenarios and test cases that simulate actual usage of the software.
• Develop test harnesses to facilitate the execution of test cases.
• Execute test cases, analyze output, identify discrepancies and clearly report defects with precise information.
• Prepare test summary report at the end of a test project.

Job Requirements
• At least 5 years experience in software testing or software development/integration activities.
• Familiar with basic programming logic.
• Strong technical background and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of HP Quality Center, HP Load Runner, HP QTP will be advantageous.
• Certification in Software Testing would be desirable (e.g. ISTQB).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Passionate about improving the quality of software products.
• Naturally curious about the way software works (and doesn’t work)
