- Primary
- Administration of web system’s database tables (including Amazon Web Services RDS)
- Delivers consultancy and support on IT applications and projects
- Planning and design of databases, with consideration of design standards, backup and restore strategy, data migration requirements.
- Proactively monitoring and optimisation of database server performance, analysis of performance trends, identification and optimisation of slow running queries.
- Capacity management, planning and managing database growth
- Data management, creation of database objects including tables, primary and foreign key constraints, indexes, views and stored procedures
- Troubleshooting, resolving problems with access to databases and database objects, providing expertise to other support teams.
- Auditing security on a regular basis
- Provide remote and on-site support 24 x 7 for critical situations
- Provide technical expertise on monitoring, tuning, backup/restore, migration, and support for databases.
- Examine database architectures and to provide proactive solution.
- Provide technical expertise for enhancement projects and project implementation on database infrastructure

- Report generation / query - Requirements :
- - Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Must be a team player and have a proactive approach to problem solving
- Required skill(s): MYSQL, Oracle, MSSQL
- At least 3 year(s) of MYSQL, Oracle, MSSQL DBA experience
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
- Able to communicate effectively internally and externally;
Preferred Skills
- Thorough understanding of Database (especially MySQL) security, optimization and performance tuning
- Good analytical problem solving skills, and execute logical / sound judgment.
