Description :: 1. Monitor database and server logs for unusual events, and troubleshoot errors.
2. Install, configure and upgrade Oracle server software and related products (e.g. RAC, Data Partitioning, Data Guard, etc) whenever necessary.
3. Perform database housekeeping.
4. Assist in database restoration and recovery.
5. Monitor application related jobs and work with application developers to enhance the application performance.
6. Ensure that potential problems, such as performance degradation, reliability and security are addressed proactively.
7. Plan and implement database fixes, patches and version upgrade
8. Provide 24/7 support for critical situations
Requirements :: 1. Degree holder in IT or a closely related field.
2. Prefer a minimum of 4 years experience in Enterprise Oracle support.
3. Experience with AIX would be an advantage.
4. Must be able to communicate fluently in English. Ability to speak in Mandarin would be an advantage.
5. Adaptable, meticulous, objective, innovative, independent and self-motivated.
6. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
