INCONTROL TECH SDN BHD, or iTEC (formerly known as VA TECH SAT Sdn Bhd) has been in operation for ten years. Formed in 1997 under the name Systems for Automation Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SAT), as a joint venture operation with a Malaysian Entrepreneur and Austria's VATECH SAT GmbH for providing Substation Automation Systems. Today, after a Management Buy Out (MBO) conducted in 2006, iTEC is proud to be a fully localised and Malaysian owned and operated organisation.
In the first five years of operations, iTEC supplied substation automation and network control systems to more than 30 substations in Malaysia and Thailand. iTEC established itself as The Premier Engineering Company well known for its expertise in providing all round service in the field of power generation, transmission and distribution automation.
In 2002, iTEC ventured into different market sectors and grew exponentially! The Company partnered with PSI of Germany and immediately won its first Distributed Management System for the Metro Area (KL and Selangor). It also ventured into Building and Industrial Automation. A number of projects were won and executed – many of them were firsts’ for the Company, enabling a build-up of an expansive amount of expertise.
