Description :: •This position reports directly to the Managing Director.
•The Group Procurement and Logistic department is a member of the Group Corporate Department which oversees all Procurement & Logistic functions within the W Group of Companies.
•Responsible to assist / support the Group of Companies to plan, organize and lead all activities within the procurement & logistic functions (Procurement, Logistic, Custom, Product Inspection), liaise with individual Departments / Companies under the Group), Coordinate with relevant authorities /relevant bodies on all Procurement & Logistic matters under your charge. This will include but is not limited, manpower, equipment and material planning while ensuring strict cost control to guarantee budget conformation.
•Ensure that all procurement & logistic documentation and activities are performed in the most effective and efficient manner.
•Sets targets for the team members and provide the necessary coaching to further optimize performance.
•Responsible for the smooth operations within the procurement & logistic function.
•Responsible to coordinate daily order processing, delivery scheduling and transport arrangement.
•Responsible to execute and follow-through with daily procurement & logistic work orders.
•Responsible to liaise with all required authorities.
•Periodic travel to China and suppliers' facilities required.
Requirements :: •Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Procurement, Engineering (Civil or Building), Business Studies /Management or equivalent.
•At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the sourcing / procurement of building materials in PRC is required for this position.
•Preferably Procurement Managers specializing in Building Materials or equivalent.
•Must be able to communicate (read and write) in Mandarin / Chinese and English. Comminication with PRC suppliers is essential, thus, knowledge of Mandarin / Chinese is a prerequisite.
•Applicants must have knowledge of ISO.
