Description :: - Responsible to source, evaluate and select potential vendors for landscaping related purchases locally or globally.
- To gather quotations, compare, analyse and negotiate for best deal at all time.
- To plan and strategize logistic arrangement covered land transportation and import procedures for overseas purchases.
- Monitor and manage suppliers’ performance and product quality.
- Process purchase requisition, source for suppliers, compare prices, confirm items meet specification, ask requesters, negotiate where appropriate, check with requester if price is above budget limit, ensure all information in ERP system is correct including price, quantity and delivery dates and finally issue the PO
Requirements :: - Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Mechanical Engineering or related field with minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing particularly gained from large processing / petrochemicals / chemicals / metallurgical industries
- Working knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Words is essential as well as having good command of English
- Working knowledge of ERP based system is well-regarded
- Strong negotiation as well as planning and organising skills.
- Candidate also must possess strong communication and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
