Description :: General Function :
To source and purchase direct & indirect material.

Duties & Responsibilities :
1. To source and purchase direct & indirect material for daily production usage.
2. Raise Purchase Order according to MRP/Customer’s PO/Forecast. All Purchase Order should acknowledge by vendors within 3 days.
3. To maintain the Approved Supplier List in Baan system.
4. To provide/update the forecast to vendors once received the latest forecast from customer.
5. To liaise with vendors on monthly delivery schedule/JIT schedule.
6. To expedite all material requirement and ensure adequate material for daily production usage.
7. To ensure all material purchased are compliance with the RoHs and ISO140001 standard.
8. Periodic feedback to vendors with regard to the delivery, quality and production complaints.
9. Periodic review in cost control with vendors.
10. Implement cost reduction whenever possible without affecting the quality of product.
11. Ensure corrective actions are taken y vendors due to rejection and improve on standard of quality to resolve any claims if necessary.
12. Periodic monitor the performance of vendors.
13. Follow up on Non Conformance Material Report and replacement from vendors.
14. Follow up on materials purchase for new projects in accordance vendor’s lead time.
15. Update supplier pricing in sharing folder.
16. To maintain low inventory in order to meet the corporate ITO target and to minimize the obsolete stocks as well.
17. To provide all kinds of required reports.
18. General filing for supplier quotation, supplier PO & etc.
19. Any others duties and responsibilities delegated by the superior.

Requirements :: • Degree/Diploma in any field
• Minimum 3 years' working experience in Purchasing in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in sourcing, procurement and warehouse management operations
• Those with engineering experience, parts fabrication or machine engineering knowledge will have an added advantage
• Preferably to have metal or plastic material knowledge
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Proficiency in computer spreadsheet application is required
