Description :: -To source on material on new RFQ project.
-To identify vendors, recommending second source, outsourcing and contract agreement and negotiation for best price, services and quality.
-To monitor and provide a timely report on vendor performance.
-To manage, monitor and liaise with other respective departments in the management of suppliers’ performance as per contract agreement.
-To coordinate the interaction between the section in the Material Department and other respective departments.
-To perform material planning function e.g. meeting Master Production Schedule, minimizing lead time, production costs & inventory cost, etc.
-To perform daily purchase requisition & purchase order processing.
-Responsible for negotiations with the vendors in cost reduction plans, quality and delivery dates.
-To follow up on outstanding purchase orders and expedites delivery of goods.
Requirements :: -Degree in any discipline with at least 3 years working experience in purchasing, material planning or equivalent.
-Able to read technical drawings – GD&T
-Knowledge in parts fabrication processing.
-Able to estimate costing for parts and negotiate cost based on Company’s best interest.
-Familiar with material and supplier management in manufacturing environment.
-Able to comprehend and implement changes, details-oriented with sincere desire to produce accurate and quality work.
-Able to work under minimum supervision.
-Able to meet tight deadline.
