- The Jobs:
• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in welding and cutting of products and structures.
• Applying knowledge of welding and cutting techniques (preparation before, during and after welding), materials, and equipments, and fabrication requirements.
• Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine need for suplies and sequence of operation required.
• Trains welder in operation of equipment, machines set up and make trial welds to make test runs and experimental products.
• Ensure care of tools, equipment and requisition supplies, such as weld rods, gas, flux, and fixtures. Inspects work to maintain specified standards and quality.
• Communicate and cooperate with other section/ department efficiently.
• Coordinate maintenance and calibration activities of related equipment with quality department.
• Perform other duties as required by the management.
- Requirements :
- Requirements, skills and abilities:
• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Technology or equivalent.
• Basic technical English preferred, computer literacy.
• At least 7 years of welding experience.
• 2 years supervising experience.
• Uses MIG/ MAG (GMAW) anf TIG (GTAW) welding techniques in all positions.
• Knowledge of applicable weld and material codes, standards and regulations.
• Operates lifting devices, forklift.
• Adjust and operate welding equipment (GMAW, GTAW) to perform various type of welding.
• Recommends corrective action and alternative methods for problem areas.
• Performs, trouble shooting, reworks and repair tasks.
• Read, interprets and follows all technical instructions, work orders and bill of materials.
• Reading, interpreting weld symbols and technical drawings.
