- To support the establishment and execution of Lean tools/process including 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban method and visual factory displays/controls.
To perform work cell design configurations with consideration for Poka-Yoke, Jidoka, Stop-The Line and other Quality tools.
To achieve a balanced and well organized cell lines.
To contribute in design-for-manufacture (DFM) during development phases of new products to assure a smooth transition to Lean Manufacturing.
To co-ordinate cross-training of production workers.
To champion development and implementation of self-sustaining Lean program including metrics that support Lean Manufacturing philosophy.
To lead value stream mapping exercises to identify opportunities for operations improvement.
To facilitate continuous improvement via Kaizen on quality, costs, delivery, morale and safety.
To spearhead the planning and implementation of efficient workflow and layout, as well as installing of robots and plant automation. - Requirements :
- Degree in any Science or Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' working experienced in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods, systems and production processes would be ideal.
Background/familiarity of Lean concepts and factory automation would be an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written - Lowest Qualification :
