Description :: The core responsibilities are to manage Purchasing (direct and indirect materials), Sourcing, Cost Saving, and supplier on time delivery.
The site is located in Peninsular Malaysia.
Develop and implement the daily management routine process within the Purchasing, Sourcing, Cost Saving, delivery from suppliers
function to assure compliance and effectiveness. These include all tasks which convert from reactionary to proactive approach
Initiate purchasing activities, including sourcing for quotation, process purchase order and followup on suppliers to ensure timely
delivery of goods ordered
Initiate and provide crossfunctional leadership to facilitate new and current cost reduction projects and achievement of
profitability/growth objectives, operational improvements and change management initiatives
Coordinate and conduct the tendering process for materials
Develop a procurement plan based on the sourcing needs, with the main objective of driving cost reduction whilst maintaining quality
and services
Responsible for evaluation and selection of new suppliers and maintaining competitive alternatives.
Controls Approved Suppliers List, managing the suppliers and establishing alliances with critical suppliers and performing suppliers visit
and support audits as required.
To lead and implement VMI and Kanban Pull System with Suppliers
Lead and train DunhamBush Malaysia buyers on cost down projects strategy, such as negotiation, value engineering and supplier
based consolidation
Monitoring, analysis and understand Cu and Al raw material LME (London Metal Exchange at www.lme.com) trend to mitigate the cost
impact to the business
Define and set up standard cost to drive favorable PPV (Part Purchase Variance)
Define, develop and implement Procurement Module business process for ERP system (Oracle – JD Edward) implementation
As an ISO 9001 internal auditor to perform internal quality system audit.
Implement KPI.
To ensure and prepare reports submission on time such as SOTD, PPV, cost saving, standard cost set up, delivery reliability of supplier,
supplier performance report (scorecard), approved supplier list, summary of supplier grading and etc
Liaise with Finance, Engineering, Materials Control, Production and Sales team to ensure targets are met
To lead, supervise and motivate subordinates for continual growth and improvement
Requirements :: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
