•Reporting to the Company Directors and liaising closely with all other affiliated company Managers at Group Levels (includes other Lama company Managers apart from Lama Tile-Works (Seremban) Sdn. Bhd. The company Directors may delegate a secondary tier of reporting to another senior manager.
•To perform all necessary marketing tasks on behalves of Lama Group Of Companies on a national level.
•Responsible for the marketing department; including but not limited to, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, of sales and marketing strategies as well as plans involving the Marketing Department.
•Meeting or exceeding the Management's realistic set targets for the Marketing Department.
•To continually strive for further marketing improvements, provision of new and effective marketing strategies as well as inputs for sales strategies, to implement as such after the approval from the management with cost efficiency in mind.
•Responsible in planning, monitoring and supervising daily operations of all marketing related jobs / tasks and organizing as well as recording of all periodical marketing reports, e.g. marketing staff's logbook, weekly marketing reports etc. whichever applicable.
•Responsible for the strategic planning, execution, follow-up of any new product launches in terms of its Sales & Marketing, as well as responsible for initiating its product sales as well as establishment of a relevant or dedicated Sales Department prior to the handing over.
•Responsible in motivating and setting motivational strategies, training and/or re-training of marketing staffs, interviewing and recruitment of new marketing staffs and sales staffs directly related to marketing.
•Setting of realistic monthly quotas and/or sales targets for all Marketing Executives and assisting them to ensure that targets are achieved and quotas are fulfilled, if applicable.
•Assisting Marketing Executives in handling difficult tasks and/or customers by providing them fieldwork support and ensuring the success, increasing their job security as well as building their self and product confidence.
•Suggesting and proposing revisions of realistic and appropriate motivational benefits from time to time, not limiting to quantifiable structures or systems, depending of changes in the environment such as inflationary pressures, standards of living and suggesting to management for approvals and improvements if applicable.
•To ensure that all documentations or letters of Marketing Executives are carried out satisfactorily as well as to provide them training on proper format and marketing techniques. This includes reading of architectural drawings and updated product component pricing, etc.
•To ensure that stocks of samples are adequate in the Sales / Marketing Offices and also assisting wherever possible in the acquisition of samples. If sample stocks are deplenished, and to contact the factories to arrange deliveries of the samples to the Sales / Marketing Offices. Should housekeeping be necessary, the Operations or Factory Manager should be informed so that cleaning tasks may be arranged accordingly.
•To hold weekly marketing meetings (if applicable) with the marketing executives to discuss about the projects quoted and project status, hardware feedback and new links, as well as keeping fully in touch with the various projects and their various stages for prompt and timely following up. Meeting may held in liaison with Sales Department if necessary.
•To organize and request Fortnightly (or Monthly depending on its urgency) meetings with the Management or Director/s in charge to provide reports, updates on feedbacks and work in progress as well as to obtain clear directives.
•To structure marketing systems and procedures so that any possible conflicts between department personnel are minimized. Any conflicts or misunderstandings will have to be rectified amicably and with mutual understanding AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
•To organize and train all relevant staffs on product specifications and installations and presentations for Lama's product. This shall include members of Sales Department if required.
•To perform any necessary customer feedbacks and/or market surveys on the products and services of the company and to report to the Upper Management on the matter, including failures of following up or cooperation from the company’s inter and intra departments.
•To assume damage control and problem solving responsibility and to respond to customers’ complains in relevance to the Marketing department as well as to liaise with other management sectors including the production department in conducting the necessary analysis and investigations on the affected products and to resolve the problems in order to ensure that the customer satisfaction is maintained at a satisfactory level at all times.
•To adapt, change and continually improve the marketing department to achieve the highest branding, consumer confidences, sales and customer satisfaction.
•To ensure that all Marketing Executives follows up on customer after sales services and to ensure that customers are always kept happy and in touched periodically as well as building up and maintaining close relations of ALL customers of Lama with the benefit of the company in line with the company’s strategies kept in priority at all times.
•To strategies, plan and execute after the approval of the Management on the 7Ps of marketing, namely Pricing, Promotions, Product, Place (Distribution), Packaging, People & positioning whichever applicable.
•To research and formulate proposals on Product Improvements as well as new product models and types according to the current market requirements to the management with properly documented reports.
•To formulate and propose cost efficient Promotional Strategies and activities to improve demands as well as sales to the management including the coordination, planning, designing of Advertising & Promotion materials in liaison with marketing supports from other Lama companies or to outsource, whichever applicable. This shall remain as the core scope of the Marketing Manager at all times.
•To update the Upper Management and Company Directors on competitors current selling prices as well as proposing the product and accessories minimum and maximum selling prices. This includes active participation in working with, and/or proposing new Pricings with or for the Sales Department with approval from the management to improve the equilibrium of profitability and sales.
•To set Place on market distribution types as well as competitive pricing on deliveries. This includes various types of product distributions as well as efforts taken to ensure that the product is distributed satisfactorily with no designated geographic areas uncovered based on the company’s allocated territorial grounds as per based on the group level’s distribution strategy.
•To propose to the management on Packaging after researching on competitors forms of packaging as well as how the product's packaging can be improved in the most cost effective method. Product package shall include packaging the product with other variants and products for promotional and pricing strategic sales.
•To employ, train and guide the necessary People for the purpose of marketing as well as providing the necessary feedbacks on customer services to
Other Departmental Managers via the Company Directors for continual improvements.
•To research and investigate competitors movements to determine Lama's Positioning in the market as well as to propose cost effective strategies on how to move the company up in the market position.
•To monitor and make a decision on the approval of the Marketing Executive's Claims and expenses in accordance to their contractual agreements in liaison with the Accounts Department while keeping the Directors informed, and to occasionally cross check and investigate on their authenticity through their recorded reports and/or log books or by any other means of reference, if applicable.
•To act as role model for all the employees with high levels of work commitment, dedication and as a responsible superior by upholding good working atmospheres, harmonies and high level motivations among staffs in the Company.
•To execute any other tasks, duties or responsibilities as instructed by the Directors and Upper Management from time to time not mentioned 
Requirements :
•Language: Proficiency in English Language (Compulsory)
•Must be able to converse in Cantonese, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia (Additional points for being able to communicate in any additional language dialects.)
•Qualifications: MINIMUM Qualifications – Diploma in Business Or Commerce, with completion of at least 3 units related to Marketing (Additional points for having a Degree Qualifications)
•Must be computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
•Minimum 2 years of working experience in the Marketing Line
•Minimum 2 years of working experience in Advertising & Promotion
•Must be hands on in the job and ability to travel very frequently domestically
•Must have good social skills as well as an organised character with good people management skill
•Must posses a willing to learn, diligent and transparent attitude
•Must be able to perform well with minimum supervision and under pressure
•Must possess own vehicle
