Description :: • Initiate and identify cost savings opportunities and projects, support for all sourcing activities for all direct and indirect parts and services
• Implement sourcing plans with goal of assuring specified quality, required delivery times and minimizing the total cost
• Conduct RFI/Q/P (Request for Information/Quotation/Proposal) and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and cost.
• Evaluate current and prospective suppliers through supplier prequalification, reviews, site visits, audits, in coordination with QA and Engineering to resolve vendors’ discrepancies and quality issues.
• Handle for all first article qualification and approvals prior to the production lots
• Execute contract negotiation and preparation
• Monitor and track suppliers’ performance; ensure on time delivery and meet quality standards, manage purchase price variance (PPV) and improved lead times.
• Build strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers to meet defined objectives
• Issuance of Purchase orders required by sales and work closely with suppliers on timely delivery and quality requirements.
Requirements :: • Minimum a Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/ Electronics)
• At least 2 years’ experience in Purchasing/Sourcing of manufacturing parts.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings with good project management skills
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes/SAP/Microsoft Office System
• Possess strong communication skills and work closely with cross-functional teams; production, engineering, quality, finance and suppliers
• Proactive and able to thrive in high-stress, fast changing environment
• Must be analytical and structured and be able to influence change
• Good working knowledge of S.A.P./Microsoft office System
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is desirable
• Exposure in Supplier Quality Management and Contract Management is preferred
