- • Assist to implement and maintain the Company’s Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health (QESH) Management System to ensure that it is in compliance with relevant statutory requirements at all times, including the International Standards, local regulations, code of practices and legal requirements
• Assist to ensure the effective implementation of construction planning activity from pre-contract to construction is in conformance to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
• Continuously promote awareness of client requirements as well as QESH practices throughout the Company and ensure that it is observed and adhered by the Company and relevant parties at all times
• Provide sound advice and guidance to the project team to support the effective operations of the QESH Management System
• Assist to continuously improve the QESH Management System by coordinating and / or conducting regular internal audits, awareness briefings, trainings and induction programme
• Assist the Person-In-Charge to comply with the Project QESH Management Plan
• Conduct regular inspections, accident / incident investigations, hazard identifications, risk assessments, risk control measures and follow-ups on the Job Safety Analysis
• Efficiently and effectively monitor and update the Register of Corrective Action Request (CAR) on a regular basis
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on QESH statistics and records* to Person-In-Charge and Head of Department on a timely basis
• Act as Secretary for the Site QESH Committee Meeting
• Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure that any QESH matter is attended to and resolved promptly and prudently
• Responsible for the upkeep of documentation of the relevant QESH documents and data
- Requirements :
- • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or relevant disciplines
• Min 3 years experience in safety supervision and implementation in a construction field
• Registered competent Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with the Occupational Safety & Health Department (DOSH)
• Knowledge in construction terminology, security and environment management
• Knowledge in Malaysian OSH Management System standards and specifications
• Knowledge in ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Computer literate ie. Microsoft Office
• Proficient in both written and spoken English
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
