Description :: -Perform technical calculations and study on the designs to achieve the specifications accurately and with minimum development cost.
- Release drawings following company’s design rules.
- Create technical documents for product release.
- Design improvements for quality and cost effective solutions.
- Create PCB layout for lighting applications.
- Collaborate with supplier in improving quality delivery and cost of parts.
- Work with customer in solving critical design requirements.
- Participate in brainstorming, validation, design review and DFMEA sessions.
- Any task that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements :: - Degree/Master in Mechanical/Optical Engineering with 2-4 years Industrial experience
- Basic understanding of optical system layouts using commercial, off-the-shelf lenses and prisms.
- Basic knowledge for electronic components (e.g. resistors, diodes and power supply)
- Advanced knowledge on different machining process, fabrication materials and treatments selections and standard electro-mechanical parts.
- Basic understanding of PCB designs, camera and lighting.
- Effective verbal and written (English) communication skills and able to clearly convey information and ideas.
- Ability to adapt on different environments and work based on priorities.
- Willing to travel for about 30% of the time to supplier or customer (local/oversea).
- Strong commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
- Strong ethics, diplomatic, patience, good listening skills and can interact with a diverse group of individuals.
- Creative, innovative, out of the box problem solving.
