Description :: • Primary purpose:
Responsible for the duties associated with process improvement, design of tooling, fixtures, and process equipment, new product introduction, new process development, and implementation of efficiency improvements that promote improved profitability of the manufacturing plant.
• Essential Functions:
- Supporting the manufacturing of various rubber products and the associated processing activities.
- Evaluating existing processes, and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop the optimal practices within the production process.
- Developing tooling, equipment, and materials to startup new products and to improve existing production processes.
- Initiating and conducting defined technical tasks associated with Process and Product Understanding within a manufacturing environment.
- Identifying, developing, and implementing projects designed to improve safety, product quality, customer service, and productivity, or to reduce cost.
- Assisting in qualification of new processes and products and/or startup of new equipment.
- Identifying, developing, and implementing of cross-functional projects, plans, and programs in support of business and strategic plans.
- Proactively communicating project direction and status to appropriate personnel.
- Developing, applying, and maintaining consistent labor and material standards.
'- Developing and implementing work cell layouts and optimizations.
- Conducting, developing, and analyzing material and process flows.
• Other Responsibilities:
- Complying with safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Performing miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Assisting with part quotations.
- Assisting other departments to solve problems related to EHS, quality, costing and new product development.
- Actively participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives.

- Acting in a manner consistent with Utex’s values and ethical standards.
- Other miscellaneous activities necessary to supporting business needs.

Requirements :: • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
• Experience in using and programming of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Required skill(s): spc statistical process control, Finite Element Analysis And Optimization, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, AutoCad.
• A working knowledge of plant processes necessary to support preparation of product recommendations.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and apply systematic problem solving skills.
• Ability to read linear and digital tools of measurement.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to visually inspect material.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must have good mathematical skills.
• Must have skills in judgement, planning, organization, and control.
• Must have computer data entry experience.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent and experienced in Rubber/Polymer processing including molding, extrusion, bonding, and milling.
