- • To develop, implement and improve on existing Quality Control system to assure all in-coming raw materials and finished goods meets the required standard.
• To modify and decide on testing parameters and customize test methods.
• To prepare standards and specifications for all raw materials and finished goods and monitor to ensure test results of incoming and finished goods QC tests performed by the technicians is according to procedures.
• To train lab technicians, production supervisors and process technicians on new and existing test methods for in-coming QC and outgoing finished goods.
• To analyse data and make recommendation to improve the quality of the products.
• To approve raw material in accordance to raw material approval procedures, re-do the testing with technicians on off specs material and decide on acceptance to use in production or reject.
• To purchase, maintenance and calibration of QC laboratory instruments and ensure instruments are in good condition at all times.
• To develop preventive maintenance checklist based on instrument manual and ensure technician perform preventive maintenance as required.
• To maintain a safe and regulatory-compliance laboratory work environment through proper maintenance and use of facilities and equipment and the wearing or proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Requirements :
- • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Good knowledge of polymer manufacturing processes and technologies, preferably in synthetic resins.
• Familiar with GPC, FTIR, GC equipment.
• Familiar with SPC.
