Description :: Safely and efficiently design, drill, and complete complex big bore high rate gas wells using a high-spec Tender Assist Drilling rig on a new integrated offshore production facility.Work within a dynamic and highly constrained SIMOPS environment. Work within a Joint Operating Company (JOC) environment with people from different corporate and cultural backgrounds. Ensure all of the third party service providers perform their scopes of work on time and within budget. Developing and mature Well Engineering systems and capabilities in a small and relatively new / young organization, developing designs and operational plans to achieve top quartile drilling performance. Manage the interfaces between the rig, multiple office locations, subsurface, and operations teams during drilling and completion operations
Requirements :: Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 6 years drilling engineering experience with at least 13 years in a drilling operations position directly responsible for overseeing and/or managing day-to-day offshore drilling operations.
Experienced in well design and knowledgeable about the latest developments related to well design, drilling, and completions.
Experienced in well construction execution aid offshore drilling operations with proven ability to manage day to-day drilling operations.
Thorough understanding of well control, wall barriers, and life cycle well containment.
Good analytical, communication and writing skills, with PC fluency and skilled in using industry standard drilling engineering software.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi cultural team environment with team members distributed in different locations within Malaysia.
Committed to a robust cross-functional approach in which Well Engineering, Subsurface, Engineering and Operations are expected to work seamlessly together to deliver the project objectives.
Experience planning and managing simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) offshore.
Able to travel 10 Company's offshore drilling locations and to other office and shore base locations within Malaysia as required.
Prior experience working with semi-TAD drilling units would be beneficial
