Description :: - Focal point for all telecomunication and network related matters at site
- Handle all telecomunication matters including but not limited to facsimiles, electronic mail (e-mail) at the location
- Key in site emergency response team member responding to emergencies as per company emergency response procedure
- Report emergency of any nature to the company
- Carries out functional tests of all telecom and weather monitoring equipment and provide first line maintenance support
- Maintain record of Telecom Operations And Emergency Log Book
- Report to operation Installation Manager (OIM) on operation related matters and to IT Customer services Centre On telecommunication and network matters
- Provide general administration support at the location such as:
:routine SAP system interactions such as raising notification, releasing and printing work orders and close-out of planned Maintenance (PM) work orders;
:attend to telecom switchboard, prepare and submit all personal call charge and monitor all outgoing trunk-calls
:assist in record and filing logistics coordination and scheduling
:assist in uploading daily operations report on to the operation website
:Prepare and transmit daily time-markings
:monitor and inform weather conditions to the company and marine vessel (ie: Standby boat, workboat, barge) at the location
: maintain and update operations personnel contacts (phone number and address) for case of reference.
- Operation and administers PC based communication equipment as required in the performance of the WORK or as may be required by the company from time to time
- Adheres to company policy and maintain awareness, knowledge and practice of safety rules and regulations
- Willing to work additional hour (after normal working hours) as and when required
- Based on 2 weeks rotation working roaster
(The successful candidate will need to be stationed in Malaysia’s offshore platform for 2 – 3 years contract )
Requirements :: - Minimum Diploma qualification or higher
- Minimum at least 3 years working experience as an Offshore Radio Operator.
- Must have experience in handling emergency telephone call for emergency situations such as offshore medical evacuation, drill and real emergency situation
- Must have experience in handling radio communication with offshore vessel and helicopters
- Must process valid medical passport and HUET/BOSET bidders to submit certificates or evidence
- Must possess valid Global Marine Distress Signal System (GMDSS)
- Must Have knowledge in operating VHF/UFF/HF radio system
- Must have knowledge in HSSE that are applicable in the oil and gas industry
- Must possess effective communication skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia both Written and spoken.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Windows application eg: Words, Excel and PowerPoint
