Description :: - Responsible to generate Material Planning based on the enduser driven requirement / forecast
authorized by Purchase Order or Management's Authorization - Responsible to plan and execute the
orders to suppliers to purchase parts / components based on enduser demand plan and to control
the material inventory to the point of consumption.
- Understand overall requirements for the above departments activities to provide better support on
their purchasing needs; Sourcing, procurement analysis, industry benchmark; Conducting
- pricing/contracts negotiation for the above focus activities; - Obtain approval for tender
recommendation from the appropriate approval authorities;
- Actively interface with user departments to ascertain their procurement needs Ensure timeliness for
the Purchase Order turnaroundtime;
- Timely review of contracts for improvement and continuity - Ensure full compliance to Company’s and
- Department policy and procedures Responsible for sourcing, selecting and negotiating with suppliers
to constantly strive for best purchase price while maintaining the highest level of quality, reliability and
service.
- Develop cost reduction strategies in order to negotiate pricing as well as participate actively in supplier
development and evaluation programs. In addition, you will be responsible for the continuous
development and improvement of procurement processes.
Requirements :: - Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related qualification with 2 5 years working
- Experience in a similar position preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Background in manufacturing process or Engineering is an added advantage
- A person of integrity, team player and with the right working attitude are the traits required for this
