Description :: 1) Managing and supervising Seremban Clincal Campus Library’s operations and services:
Ensure that Seremban Clincal Campus library operates smoothly with no hiccup, and conform
to the Management of Library Resources Standard Operating Procedures.
Plan Clincal Campus Seremban Library annual budget and its utilization.
Support the operations of Kuala Pilah Clincal Campus library in view of lacking in manpower.
2) Cataloguing and Classification:
Cataloguing and classification process for books in Seremban Clincal Campus Library. Need to
provide insights on the subject details in order to ensure that the library has a comprehensive
collection and books are classified properly
3) Reference Services:
Plan and provide Information Literacy sessions on searching and analyzing reference
resources which includes online searching in various electronic databases and printed
materials.
Conduct regular training sessions for faculty and students, either on onetoone basis or within
small groups to assist them in obtaining references be it within the library collection or beyond
the library collection.
Obtain articles or any resources requested by faculty and students from all means of sources
that are not available within IMU library collection. 95% of requested articles are to be obtained
within 24 hours and delivered to the requestor immediately
4) Circulation services:
Manage circulation services which include borrowing, returning, renewing, and reserving of
library materials in view of staff shortage due to emergency leave or other matters when the
support staff cannot handle the counter duties.
Teach students on renewing and reserving circulated library resources through Library portal.
Liaise with the faculty within the Seremban Clinical School with regards to the services
provided by the Library to fulfill the user demands.
5) Research Projects with Faculty members of Clincal Campus:
Be part of the Faculty Research Groups member.
Provide indepth reference and research assistance to topical researchers. This may include
Faculty members as well as students from Semester 8 and above.
Conduct mini seminar / workshop on Reference Citations software i.e. Refworks, Mandeley
and Zotero at least once per semester for faculty and students at Seremban Clincal Campus
Requirements :: - Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post - Graduate Diploma, Professional
- Degree, Library Management, Information Management or equivalent.
- Candidate with postgraduate qualification with some working experience in an academic library
will be an added advantage.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Seremban.
