Description :: 1. To assist Regional Legal Advisor – Asia & Africa in handling legal issue arise within the Company, and it’s Group and it’s associates in Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE and Africa Countries
2. Drafting and vetting legal document such as Contracts, Power of Attorney, and/or
Agreements and provide prompt legal opinion and/or legal advice on the liability and the risks under the legal document
3. Attend meeting with Regional Managing Director and/or Business Unit Heads (BUH) at various matters pertaining to setting up company, restructuring
4. To monitor and keep track all the litigation and arbitration cases within the Company,thereafter, to provide legal assistance and/or advice on the Court and
arbitration procedure and/or liability of the Company and it’s Group under the Malaysian and also international law
5. To be a liaison person between the external lawyer and the Company Secretary on the ongoing legal matter and/or legal issue arise within the Company and it’s Group
6. To be a liaison person between the Authorities pertaining any legal matter and/or issue arise with the Company and it’s Group
7. Experience in handling corporate affairs wil be an added advantage
8. Handled arbitration matter locally and internationally
9. To attend any Court matter and/or case as and when required by the Company and it’s Group
10. To attend any legal matter and/or issue pertaining to the Company and it’s Group as and when required by the Regional Managing Director and Regional Legal Advisor – Asia & Africa
11. To attend to any legal matter which been assign by the Company and it’s Group as and when required
Requirements :: 1. Candidate must possess at least a Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent
2. At least 8 - 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
3. Preferably Managers specializing in Law/Legal Services or equivalent
4. Strong personality with ability to communicate well the stake holders
5. Proven track record in managing Legal cases
6. Ability to provide independent advice (orally and in writing) to senior level management /stake holders on highly technical matters;
7. Demonstrates success in managing and conducting a variety of litigation matters
8. Knowledge of, and experience with, laws dealing with government and/or commercial
9. contract administration, particularly contract negotiation, preparation and administration
10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including management of workload
