Description :: This position is part of the Finance & Accounting Team, leading Financial Performance team primarily in forecasting, planning, analysis and reporting functions and will actively involve in contract management and commercial related matters. The role also needs to jointly oversee the management of the day to day Finance Team's activities and controls together with the Finance & Accounting Manager and also with a focus in driving continuous improvements to improve integrity of the Financial Statements and Reporting/MI, whilst adhering to the Group's accounting policies and control standards and ensure compliance to Malaysia FRS standards. The role will provide in-depth support to the Financial Controller, CEO and PGM in driving and delivering desired results to achieve the Company’s goals and objectives.
Requirements :: 1. Degree in Accountancy, or a recognized national or international professional accountancy qualification with Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) membership.
2. Minimum 8 years working experience in financial or management accounting environment with at least 5 years’ experience in managerial role preferred. Candidate with robust experience in major audit/accounting firm is encouraged to apply.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, including self-confidence and resilience.
4. Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in using accounting applications and knowledge of SAP will be added advantage.
5. Willingness to learn and acquire new skills in the job, with a challenging and inquisitive mind.
6. Critical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and take appropriate remedial action, using a variety of techniques.
7. Team building skills with the ability to support team members, and able to demonstrate positive approach to building team spirit, adaptable and flexible in approach.
8. Customer focused and responsive and ability to work independently as well as analytical, logical and coherent in approach.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with individuals across all aspects of the business in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
