Description :: - Plan, study and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour.
- Analyze data collected and record results
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports, comparing standard costs to actual production costs
- Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures
- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Maintain Cost Accounting System
- Assisting in month end close of the General Ledger
- Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program
- Support sales in opportunities analysis, sales level forecasting, account planning and adhoc activities at an operational level.
Requirements :: - Minimum of 4 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing environment
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Must have a strong Cost systems background and excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Word and Powerpoint
- Must have SAP experience
- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
- Ability to prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
