- - Head, lead and manage a team of professional staff in the Accounts Department.
- Prepare monthly branch level financial statement and management reports.
- Perform timely closing of the month-end accounts, timely and accurately.
- Prepare budgets forecasts and reports to ensure the availability of accurate accounting information for the management.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other government bodies for various statutory compliances.
- Liaise with banks on related banking matters
- Ensure GST and WHT treatment and processes are in compliance with statutory and company’s requirements.
- Monitor utility prices (Electricity, water, gas) movement and provide advice on potential impact to the company.
- Liaise with the heads of department continuous availability of funds from the corporate office to support all budgeted expenditure.
- Track monthly capital expenditure.
- Analyse monthly financial statements and company’s performance statistics to identify areas for improvement.
- Advice the management on the latest development related to accounting requirements and legislations that may impact the company.
- Prepares monthly executive summary for the General Manager on the performance of the operations and company including profitability, expenditure, cost control measures, sales statistics and upcoming plans.
- Ensure prompt payment from customers and sales and credit control on sales are managed effectively and within established limits.
- Ensure that the SAP Business One BP Master Data is updated in a time and accurate manner.
- Monitor and update the management on changes in inventory levels and values.
- Ensure subordinates are trained and updated on new accounting rules or legislation requirements.
- Assist in preparing the yearly insurance renewal plan

- Strong Excel skills and good knowledge in Word, Accounting and Payroll Software.
- Good organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to conduct feasibility, ROI, pay back, DCF, IRR and sensitivity studies.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputable university
- ACCA or equivalent certification
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of accounting experience, preferably from a manufacturing background.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing would be an advantage.
- Accustomed to fast paced environment and high expectations environment.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Fluent in verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
