- 1. Support and oversee the monthly operating, closing and statutory process for 3 Malaysia based legal entities :
Review and verify payment to Vendors. Ensure that all relevant documentation, correctness of documentation and proper accounting entries have been
posted into the ERP system.
Review, process and streamline accounting entries
Undertake the daily/month end/quarterly and yearly closing process in SAP
Review GST and ensure that GST are filed in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare all regulatory reports to meet the compliance requirements of LMW
Review and analyze all manufacturing variances and ensure that all variances are reasonable and verifiable
Document all process associated with the daily/month end closing process accompanied with checklist
Develop excel files to streamline processes
Update all monthly schedules and ensure that they are accurate and correct.
Liaise with corporate, markets & Asia Pacific teams on monthly, yearly and adhoc queries
Liaise with the external auditor
Work and prepare responses to Taxation queries
Review the publication of statutory audited accounts for accuracy and reasonability
1. Support the Forecasting and Budgeting Processes
Work with Department Heads to co-ordinate SGA and other information for forecast/budget submission. Ensure that all submission are reasonable and
accurate.
Assist on the completion forecasting and budget assumption spreadsheet for submission for GPS
1. Maintaining a strong Controls environment
1. Provide financial support to the Senior Finance Manager, Finance Director and Head of Department on a adhoc basis - Requirements :
- Impact on the Organization
Responsible for timely and accurate submission of financial accounts of monthly accounts to corporate and GPS.
Ensure that all compliance and government reporting are completed and submitted in a timely manner – LMW, GST, corporate and secretarial
Ensure that there is a consistency and compliance in the processes accompanied with documentation
Ensure that the all accounting documents are posted in accordance with daily/month end deadlines
Upholding the compliance of both internal and external customers
Decision Making Framework:
The ideal candidate must able to work in a complex accounting environment
Have manufacturing finance experience and an understanding of the reporting requirements of being a LMW holder
High attention to detail
Able to break down complex processes into simple, understandable and clear processes.
Goal orientated individuals who is able to work towards tight deadlines
Strong communication
Strong technical skills in Excel and SAP
Communication and Level of Contacts:
Primary communication with South Asia Finance and Malaysia Plant team
Team oriented approach is required.
Creative problem solving is required.
Level of Education and Experience Required:
Have minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Degree qualification
Knowledge in SAP is preferred
